Spirit packs ADB's latest tru2way® implementation in a small, cost-effective box, for a stunning performance. The product is destined to replace set-tops that have lived beyond their time – whether it be Standard Definition, legacy, or just end of life software, the Spirit is the perfect HD replacement to keep current subscribers satisfied.
The unit is OpenCable™ compliant and features a high-speed DOCSIS® return channel to support high-bandwidth two-way communications for Video-On -Demand, secure application download, and delivery of current and future advanced services. Conditional Access is supported via a Multi-Stream CableCARD™ Host 2.0 interface.
Spirit is compatible with Standard Definition and High Definition television transmissions across all industry standard compressions, including MPEG-2, MPEG-4/H.264 and SMPTE-421M/VC-1, allowing operators to optimize their broadcast bandwidth.
Additionally, Spirit supports third party applications, such as an Electronic Program Guide, Pay-Per-View, Video-On-Demand, Switched Digital Video, games, e-Commerce as well as other interactive services. These applications & services are managed by the fully integrated OCAP stack.
